Shifting

Tags:

Werewolves can shift form at any time they want to. This does not rely on the full moon, though they sometimes get a little bit antsy around that time. Experienced adults have more control over their shifting than teenagers do - if a teenager gets too agitated or excited, they may accidentally change forms. Some very comfortable adults are able to focus enough to shift one body part at a time, however this is difficult and not common.

Changing to full werewolf form takes a lot of energy out of one, and they can't do that constantly. After shifting to that form, they will eventually need to get a lot of rest. In werewolf form, senses as well as emotions are heightened - so instead of going from mildly annoyed --> a little mad --> absolutely furious, they'll go from annoyed to furious in an instant. The same goes with any other emotion.

Shifting in front of mundanes is strictly prohibited.  Shifting in front of kin is not an issue, though some kin don't necessarily like to watch the process.
