Kin are normal humans and wolves that live in the werewolf
community, know the secret, and are treated as part of the pack. This
can be spouses, siblings, or nonwere children.
Werewolves can form relationships with humans or wolves and have offpsring
with them. They have under a 50% chance of producing a werewolf child,
though they won't know if the child carries the shifter gene until puberty. Often this
is encouraged to bring in outside bloodlines and prevent any inbreeding
in the community.
The werewolf partner can either choose to a.) keep their nature secret, or b.)
reveal it when they are certain they want a permanent relationship with
that person.
Relationships in which they keep this massive secret don't often last
long, as their significant other would become suspicious as to why they
were constantly sneaking off during the month and couldn't tell them
what their "meetings" were about.
So a werewolf can reveal
their secret to the human/wolf they intend to permanently mate with,
and hope that the person believes them. If they believe them and want
to stay in the relationship, the pack will welcome them, though they'll
be wary at first. When the pack is able to trust the mundane human/wolf
after a few months, they are considered an official pack member and
treated like they would treat another Were.
If a human is told the secret, and reveals it, they are taken care of.
